In the 20s, there were also many issues. There was uneven prosperity, which meant that some people were very rich and some were very poor. The poor people were farmers and others living in the cities. They were suspicious that the prosperity would not last. They were right. People with money kept on investing and investing until the stock market crashed. Farmers also overfarmed their land, which lead to the Dust Bowl of the 1930s. The Ku Klux Klan’s membership soared during the early 20s, which was not good. At one point, The Klan had 8 million members. The Ku Klux Klan terrorized African-Americans, foreigners, Jews and Chinese-Americans. By 1925, the Klan’s popularity had decreased drastically.
